Sunny and warm, a steady breeze keeps uncomfortable humidity at bay. Shadows from clouds scroll across the vibrant grass which is rippled by the air’s subtlest movement. Sounds are of children playing and the distant flowing of water. Some of these things are more calming and comfortable than others. A tickle at the back of your neck, a mosquito is dealt with. Sunny, warm and humid: Two cities dominated the skyline; a river rumbled between them. On the south bank were grass and trees that lined miles of concrete sidewalk. Just Fine

My girlfriend leaves early tomorrow for Meadville, Pennsylvania. I'm going to be in Rochester, New York. It's only one or two hours away but, I don't leave for another two weeks. Almost all my friends (don't have that many, I now realize) leave in and around this weekend too. So, I spent a little time with my girlfriend today just to say goodbye... then my Mom found us and talked up the last of our time together. She got more talking in my my girlfriend than I did. Needless to say, I wasn't happy. I knew that I'd be really depressed about this later so, I went for a run because it helps me relax. (Some people sit on the couch with a gallon o
